What is the Roper Romp, exactly?
The Roper Romp is the first annual downtown Hastings gathering where Helens and friends dress up, laugh loud, and celebrate together on September 26, 2026. Think costumes, community, and a whole lot of caftan energy.

Where do I park and how do I get to the venue?
Festivities begin at the Regal Eagle’s Club, 107 N Denver Ave, Hastings, NE 68901. Parking is available throughout downtown Hastings, including nearby street parking.
What time should I arrive and when does everything end?
The official Roper Romp begins with registration at noon at the Regal Eagle’s Club, with headquarters doors opening at 11:30 AM for Helens who are ready to come in, settle in, and enjoy crafts, music, and games.
Want to start the day even earlier?
The Melody Round-Up Parade begins at 10:30 AM, with parade lineup starting at 9:30 AM.
The main Roper Romp festivities officially wrap at 8:30 PM following the Closing Ceremony, Costume Contest, and Golden Caftan Awards.
But if you are making a night of it, the After-Hours Romp begins at 9:00 PM with drinks, karaoke, and more downtown fun.

Caftans, wigs, and big personalities are highly encouraged.

What's the difference between Helen VIP tickets and Full Helen VIP + Dinner tickets?
VIP Helen tickets get you into the core Roper Romp festivities downtown. Full Helen VIP + Dinner tickets include everything plus dinner at the Regal Eagle’s Club. Full ticket details are on our Tickets page.
Can one person buy tickets for a group and check in for everyone?
Yes! One person can purchase a group of tickets, and everyone in that group can check in individually at the door under that person’s name.
Who gets a Roper Romp swag bag?
All 200 pre-registered Helens will receive a swag bag.
How do I get a Wigs-Off Wind-Down Hotel Kit?
Wigs-Off Wind-Down Hotel Kits are available as an add-on when you purchase your ticket, or at check-in based on availability.

What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
Roper Romp is a rain-or-shine event! In case of severe weather, we'll share any updates or safety changes via email and on our website, so keep an eye on your inbox as the date gets closer.
What is your refund or ticket exchange policy?
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, you're welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend, just reach out to let us know who's using it instead.
